Reasons why I love what I do
As a parent, you always want what's best for your child. Meghan truly is THE BEST. She is kind, patient, and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to pediatric speech therapy. Our son instantly took to Meghan's bubbly personality which made our sessions fun and effortless. It's easy to feel overwhelmed or discouraged when your child is speech delayed, but Meghan was always encouraging and offered practical suggestions and methods to work on at home. Our son went from having less than 5 words at 18 months to talking up a storm one year later. We couldn't have asked to have anyone better in our corner, and Meghan was, and always will be, like family to us.

We began working with Miss Meghan just when the pandemic hit. This was our first time working with a Speech Therapist, and we were a little hesitant, as we know our two-year-old son can be a bit stubborn. Despite having to adjust her approach now that she was limited to Zoom sessions, we began seeing improvements with my son’s speech almost immediately. Miss Meghan worked with us to help build our son’s confidence and gave us the guidance and tools that we needed to continue to support his progress. Her encouragement, patience and techniques helped our son to find his voice and allowed us to be able to understand what he wanted and needed. We are beyond thrilled by the progress he has made in such a short period of time. Instead of struggling to figure out what he wants, resulting in both of us getting frustrated, our son now spends most of his time narrating stories as he plays with his toys, telling us about his day and his favorite thing to do – singing. We would not be in the position we are today, without Miss Meghan!

When my daughter started working with Meghan, she could barely say a few words. Meghan came every week with a big smile and worked with her. My daughter would look forward to seeing Meghan because of her beautiful nature. She taught me so many different techniques each week to use to help my daughter improve her speech and answered every question I had. She continued to have Zoom meetings since COVID started so my daughter wouldn’t fall behind. Meghan is passionate, committed, and very professional at what she loves to do! My daughter is 3 now and is speaking a lot better! I highly recommend using Meghan!

We had the pleasure of working with Meghan for about seven months. When we started working with her, our son, over two at the time, could only say a few words. He was a very happy little boy, but as he got older, he became very frustrated that he could not communicate his wants and needs. Making friends was very difficult for him, as he could not communicate on their level. Miss Meghan was able to connect with him right away, and he very much enjoyed their time together. She used toys and methods that interested him- which of course changed continuously throughout the year - to teach him in a way that kept his interest. He continued to struggle for several months, but Meghan was patient and persistent. Even through the pandemic, when the sessions had to be conducted virtually, she was able to continue to effectively work with him. She was always positive with both him and my husband and I, which was incredibly helpful to us. As a mother, it was so easy to blame myself for our son being behind, but Meghan's optimism and encouragement continued to give us hope. After an incredible amount of work, he finally started to pick up some new words, slowly and steadily. Then one day, when he was almost three, he said his first sentence. He has not stopped talking since! The change we have seen in our little boy is truly amazing, and we have Miss Meghan to thank for a great deal of that. He even uses the strategies that were taught to him to try and help his baby sister learn how to talk! We are so excited for him to start school this fall, and have full confidence that he will be able to make friends, enjoy himself, and continue learning.
